Rampa is a cross-border remittance platform built on stablecoins, designed to make international transfers faster, cheaper, and accessible to unbanked users. It enables individuals and small businesses to send and receive digital dollars securely — without needing a traditional bank account.
African users and small businesses face three major challenges with cross-border transfers:
Unstable local currencies — Inflation and FX volatility erode value before funds are even received.
High remittance fees — Traditional services charge between 6–10% per transaction.
Limited access to digital banking — Many potential users lack full KYC banking infrastructure but have smartphones.
Rampa set out to bridge this gap — enabling fast, low-fee, and stable transfers using stablecoins (USDC/USDT) while preserving a familiar, mobile-first user experience.
